The owners of SSC Klingan AB in Skellefteå now have a new partner. The company’s production engineer, Fredrik Nystedt, has acquired a third of the shares One of the existing owners, Staffan Hällgren, has also increased his share of the company and taken over the remaining shares.
”We’ve more than doubled our turnover in the last three years and the positive spiral is continuing upward”, says Staffan Hällgren. 
”I’ve always been involved in the company as if it was my own, and now it is”, Fredrik Nystedt declares.

When Staffan Hällgren became partner and managing director of SSC Klingan in 2002, the company was located in dilapidated premises in Kåge. Turnover was 6.5 million kronor. At the turn of 2003-2004, they moved into new, bright premises on the Hedensbyn industrial estate in Skellefteå and invested in several new machines. The existing product range was also supplemented with glass sections and interior doors with entrances.
"It was a success”, says Nystedt, who led the development and launch of the new products.
 
Turnover has increased to 15 million and the employees have increased in number successively. Today there are 15 people working at SSC Klingan.
”We’re taking on another joiner in September", says Staffan Hällgren.

Unique planning software tool
Fredrik Nystedt started his working life as a joiner at SSC Klingan. He worked here until 1998, when he left to study to computer engineer at Luleå University College of Technology. Since completing his studies, he has divided his time between production planning at SSC Klingan and developing calculation software for the entire SSC group.
 
For SSC Klingan, he’s developed a completely unique 3D CAD program in SolidWorks. Using this automatic planning program, SSC Klingan can very simply produce tender drawings, for example.
”Planning goes ten times faster than before and in addition we can send drawings together with all types of tenders. This allows a higher quality of tender and reduces the risk of misunderstanding", says Nystedt.
 
Staffan Hällgren is very pleased with the new ownership.
”Until now, I’ve been the only owner who’s worked here. Now we’re going to be two active owners, who together can continue to develop the business”, he concludes.
 
The largest object SSC Klingan is working on at the moment is the manufacture of glass sections for 230 offices in the pharmaceutical company Pfizer's new head office in Stockholm.
