Strengthening their position on the Nordic door market
The Norwegian door group Dooria has taken over the Swedish door manufacturer SSC Vännäs Dörr AB as from 1 July 2005. Dooria is one of the largest suppliers of doors to the Nordic building materials market.

After the acquisition of SSC Vännäs Dörr, Dooria’s annual turnover will be around 450 million SEK and the number of employees in the group will number 350.
Knut Løvdal Stauri says the Nordic building market is now in an early phase of consolidation.
”We can see an opportunity to grow and the acquisition of SSC Vännäs Dörr will help to strengthen our range, which now includes fire doors and noise classified door solutions", he says.
The previous owner of SSC Vännäs Dörr is SSC Skellefteå Snickericentral. An agreement of cooperation will ensure that SSC will also be able to offer SSC Vännäs Dörr's range on the project market even in the future. Dooria and SSC both see several positive effects of this collaboration, for example purchasing and sales.

SSC Vännäs Dörr AB manufactures solid interior doors. The company has 74 employees and a turnover of 94 million SEK in 2004. 30 percent of current production goes for export to Norway and Denmark. SSC Skellefteå Snickericentral is the most comprehensive supplier of joinery products such as windows, doors, stairs and special carpentry in Scandinavia. The incorporated society is owned by 8 joineries that market and sell their products through SSC Skellefteå AB. There is also cooperation with producers outside the group of owners. The sales office is located in Skellefteå and the group has sales of 410 million SEK with 400 employees. |
