Three Ladies buy windows for millions
|
|
| SSC Ostvik Fönster AB has just received its biggest order ever. The customer is Kungsfiskaren Bygg & Fastighet AB that has been given the task of renovating the facades of the tenant-owned buildings Tre Damer (Three Ladies) in Fruängen, Stockholm. ”This order is for 2,250 windows and is worth 7.2 million kronor” says Åke Nordlund, MD of SSC Ostvik Fönster. ”Changing this many windows without disturbing the occupants is a big challenge for us” says Anders Arfvén, regional head at Kungsfiskaren. | | Three happy men who will be delivering windows to “Three Ladies”. SSC Skellefteå’s Berndt Öhman, who closed the deal, is flanked by SSC Ostvik owners Svante Lundgren and Åke Nordlund.

SSC Ostvik Fönster is to deliver windows to 510 apartments in Fruängen owned by the Riksbyggen tenant-owner association Tre Damer. This is the first time the windows have been changed in the buildings on Eva Bonniers gata, Hanna Paulis gata and Kata Dahlströms | gata. They were constructed in the late fifties when building really got going in this area in the south-east of Stockholm. ”It’s now necessary to change the windows in many of the houses built with high quality in Sweden during the fifties”, Åke Nordlund states and interjects that it’s still more common to change windows in buildings built during the building boom in the seventies.
The window chosen by Kungsfiskaren and Tre Damer is SSC Ostvik Fönster’s most exclusive model. ”It’s a traditional style window with wood interior for warmth and feeling and an aluminium exterior that is wear resistant and elegant. The windows will fit in superbly in their surroundings", SSC Skellefteå AB sales rep Berndt Öhman tells us. | | | Åke Nordlund |

| The windows are being supplied with Venetian blinds ready installed and are prepared for ventilation. The U-value is 1.2. Delivery will be in two stages starting in mid-May. All the windows will be in place by summer 2006. ”This order will safeguard our production for the coming year and may also result in new jobs”, says Nordlund. ”The rising cost of energy means many property owners are thinking of fitting new windows that have a better energy rating. The future looks really bright for us”, he concludes.
