Joinex is soon to deliver one of the most exclusive and lavish staircases in the history of the company to a private individual. The end customer is a house-owner in mid-Sweden and the staircase is completely made to order. For Joinex, the largest supplier of wooden staircases in the Nordic countries with about 8,000 annually, this order is yet another confirmation of an unmistakeable trend: Staircases are being regarded all the more as an important part of interior design and can give a lift to the entire home.

”It clearly is the toughest staircase we’ve purchased to a private home,” says Torbjörn Wiegandt, project manager with HMB Constructions, who is the contractor and one of the 20 largest construction companies in Sweden.   It’s special above all in the design, construction and combination of materials; a bowed, oak staircase, turning all the way up to the edge of the stairwell with a closed glass balustrade. The high degree of difficulty in construction and high demands on quality meant that HMB turned to Joinex. ”Quality is really important when it comes to this kind of exclusive product, combined with good delivery times. We've had a good experience with Joinex before, so we chose them again," says Torbjörn.

The order also includes assembly services from Joinex.
”It’s important for the end result. That’s why we regard it as quality assurance to employ experienced Joinex fitters,” he says.

At Joinex they are naturally both proud and pleased with the order.
”It’s not every day we get such a prestigious order, and it's even more unusual for private homes. Meanwhile, we’re seeing a greater interest in and a revaluation of the importance of the staircase,” says Jens Karlsson, salesman at Joinex.

Torbjörn Wiegandt, who works ”in the field” agrees:
”More and more people are beginning to see how important the stairs are in the design of a house. This means it’s easier to put more money into it and get something that lifts the entire indoor environment. In these good times of improving economic growth, people are also able to spread their wings a little more,” Torbjörn concludes.
