Joinex Stronger Than Ever on Danish Stairs Market

Joinex staircases are experiencing an upward trend in Denmark and it’s happening fast. There has been a 30 per cent increase compared with last year. One example is the order for 182 staircases to Öressundshöj, the largest single order for stairs that Joinex has received. Although besides the increase in sales, Joinex is also gaining valuable knowledge, not least in the field of design.
”That’s right. The Danes are way ahead of us when it comes to design. New ideas on design and materials often come from across the Sound. Being close by and able to take advantage of this development is of course positive for all our clients”, says Johan Jonsson, salesman and manager for the Danish market.
There is a long-term cooperation of many years behind the expansion. Ever since the early 80s, Joinex has been working with exports to Denmark and their partner and reseller there has been Wood-Step since the beginning of the 90s.

| knowledge tin production. Wood-Step has experienced an enormous growth and today comprises around 20 employees. Besides the head offices on Jutland, they have recently opened an office on Zealand as well.
In order to install Joinex stairways, Wood-Step has a well functioning organisation from which Joinex can also gain valuable knowledge. ”They have a very high ability. That’s why we meet as often as possible to exchange thoughts and ideas and learn from each other, which eventually will be to the advantage of all our stair customers. Not the least thanks to our knowledge of installation raising the total quality and optimising the total economy of our customers”, says Johan.
Joinex delivers staircases all over Scandinavia but the Danish market is different in that all sales – to the public as well as to contractors – take place through resellers, something Johan looks on positively. ”It shows that we’re sensitive to demands and easily able to adapt to different needs and market conditions. Besides our own capacity and competence, this has been an important factor in reaching the position we have today as the largest producer of staircases in the Nordic region”, Johan concludes. |
