New stair deal with Skanska Sverige AB

Skanska Nya Hem is the name of Skanska's own operations for the development of new residences in Sweden. It covers every stage, from idea to sales and marketing of the finished homes directed to the end owner.

There are around 40 projects a year in Sweden that are generated under the name of Skanska Nya Hem. A "project" could be a new residential area or just a couple of apartment blocks increasing the development density of an existing area; from 350 super modern city apartments to smaller objects of 8-10 detached houses. They develop detached/semi-detached self-owned and tenant-owned houses as well as tenant-owned apartments.

Skanska Nya Hem is present mainly in and around the major cities in Sweden as well as in a number of large towns in the centre of Sweden. Activities and operational responsibility is divided into three regional areas: Stockholm, West and Öresund.

SSC has entered into an agreement with Skanska Sverige AB concerning the development and delivery of standard stairs for residential developments in the regions Nya Hem West and Nya Hem Östersund. The agreement is exclusive and can also be applied to other regions in Skanska Sverige. It is based on a number of finished stair modules and is valid for a period of three years.

A close cooperation during the planning stage has been the basis of a platform providing optimum comfort and high safety in combination with an aesthetically attractive design.

The arrangement is based on three design levels per house type. Each design level has a carefully selected combination of materials, surface treatments and hand rail designs. The objective of such an arrangement is to be able to please a wide spectrum of tastes and still maintain a rational handling, keeping administrative costs at a lower level.

"Our customers appreciate that we can account for all the details concerning materials and interior design choices from the beginning. This is only possible with this type development and collaboration agreement between purchaser and supplier", says David Jerhov, Nya Hem West.

Orders are met on call directly from our stair factory. The transaction is estimated to be worth 20 MSEK during a three-year period.
