”The competition was tough, not the least from a number of Danish manufacturers,” says Dick Holmstrand, salesman and Project Manager at Joinex. ”And since Denmark is recognised as being good at processing wood with a very distinguished furniture industry, this success is especially positive."
The high quality demands they have in Denmark are confirmed by long-term Joinex partner in Denmark; Wood-Step: ”Craftsmanship and the living environment are traditionally very important to Danes. And that is especially true now when the Danish economy is red hot and the rate of building is increasing rapidly,” says Wood-Step’s Peter Ravn. In the Öreshöj deal, Joinex also had the size and capacity needed. ”In the high there is now, delivery reliability is very important. That’s why the well-renowned name of Joinex with its high capacity was a contributing factor,” says Ravn

At Joinex, they are prepared to meet a continued strong demand in the expansive area at both ends of the Öresund bridge. ”Of course we’re in a good position as the largest stair manufacturers in the Nordic countries. Last year we delivered a total of 8,000 staircases and we haven’t reached our ceiling yet,” says Dick Holmstrand. One important contributing factor to the increased demand for staircases on the market is that they are being seen as more than just a means of communication. ”More and more people are realising that a staircase is an important part of the total living environment. This view is widely spread in Denmark but also in Sweden we’re regarding the staircase as more of an important part of interior design. That’s very good for us, of course,” concludes Holmstrand.
