Joinex Delivers Unique Cultural Experiences

| Culture is fast becoming an important means of competition between local governments vying to attract new inhabitants and businesses. As a result, investments in the building of new, spectacular arenas of culture have never been greater. Gävle and Västerås built their new concert halls a few years ago and now both Uppsala and Luleå are building like mad. In all these cases SSC has been employed to handle large parts of the interiors of these prestigious facilities. For the current building of Kulturens Hus in Luleå and the Uppsala Concert and Congress Hall, Joinexhas received orders worth around 22 million kronor.

"It almost feels like we have sole rights on these projects", says Peter Forsséll, Managing Director at Joinex. "Nothing is the same either, so it's really about unique cultural experiences that we are reinforcing with our products and competence.

The common denominator to all these cultural facilities is that they have been designed by famous and eccentric architects with far-reaching visions, which has also played its part in these exceptional solutions. Behind Uppsala Concert and Congress Hall is the famous Danish architect Henning Larsen and behind Kulturens Hus is the Tirsén & Aili architect office. And in the case of Luleå and Uppsala, they're both technically advanced interior design projects.
”This obviously demands both higher quality and competence than is usual for this type of project”, says Leif Lundmark, region head of Peab in Uppsala, general contractor of Uppsala Concert and Congress Hall. "That's why Joinex's many good references played an important part in our choice", says Lundmark.

An important part of Joinex's competence is also the total responsibility they take.
"This means besides manufacture and delivery, we'll also be carrying out assembly of our products. For example, in Luleå we'll be responsible for the entire fixed wooden interior. We'll be handing over a finished product intended for enjoyable and inspirational experiences", concludes Forsséll.
