Developing our online services is an important part of SSC’s interaction and cooperation with our customers. A good example is our Windows product area that has been offering considerably greater and more complete information online. The positive customer reactions to SSC’s new window web were not long in coming.

“Despite the short time that the new set-up has been available, we have heard from several architects who have expressed their approval,” says Ulf Rosenius, salesperson in the Windows business area at SSC.

The basic idea was to make it even simpler for customers to select windows based on particular requirements, such as sound insulation and thermal performance values, standards and norms. Little by little, SSC is making more information available with the new web service, from general descriptions and product sheets to technical specifications and drawings.

“In addition we have tried to make it as easily understandable, structured, and efficient as possible. Architects can quick and easy click their way to the information they want, look at it and sort certain parts into tabular form, take out DWG drawings and insert them into their own drawings,” says Rosenius.

There are several advantages to using the web to a greater extent, compared to using traditional product catalogs, for example. It is easy to update, environmentally friendly and the information is always up to date and accessible.

“We can already see how well the new web service works as a basis for discussion in our dialogs with customers. More and better information in advance makes for more efficient and constructive cooperation. In the end it leads to smoother projects and more satisfied customers,” says Rosenius.
